Shani Granot

Shani Granot (Israel 1978) once finishing “thelma yellin” high school, in 1996, she joined the youth company of Batsheva. in 1998 she began her studies at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts, Research and Training Studios) directed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker- in Brussels. since 2002 she worked in close collaboration with Cristian Duarte(BR) and Peter Fol(BE), creating and performing several pieces. in 2006, as a collective they received funding from the Flemish Government. Since her return to Israel in 2008 she created together with Sharon Zuckerman-Weiser the piece “Gluyot” for Intimadance Festival. She performed in Arkadi Zaides’ piece “meeting brain wash” and in Maya Weinberg’s piece “some fish (swim up the river to die)”. Recently she is taking part in establishing “solelot”- a residency for dance creators in Tel-Aviv as well as finishing her B.A in Bar-Ilan University in the Department of Information Science. In April 2012 she joined Yasmeen Godder’s “Storm End Come” show as a dancer.
